Greenland one of the largest island in the world and at the same time the least populated (56,615 people) is becoming a global treat. In 1946 the United States offered one million dollars to Denmark for the island, but they refused to sell it. Now Greenland is an independent self-governed with their official language “Greenlandic”. The party system is communists with head of state Queen Margrethe II. And even though, it is considered an island rich in natural resources (mainly ruby), which has been giving hope to their economy, Greenland climate changes are causing the ice sheet of the island to melt furiously in a day. This means the world’s sea level will rise by 23ft. This will have enormous negative effect on everyone. Can we do anything? Wait?
