My “Health” is What I “carry”

Gorilla marketing or awareness? This companies went deeper than that! Supermarkets, fitness clubs, and health services spoke through a plastic bag when they started their health conscious campaign. Sending a message through can be pretty difficult when it comes to advertising, because customers don’t get if you are selling a product or what are you…

Back to Consistency

I already blogged about how important it is to keep consistent image of your brand. Here is an example of an agency with an outstanding positioning and brand design made by Socio Design. Who is this agency and what do they do? More about Socio Design, only the Ostrich Queen knows! The agency is called Nice…

I am taking free seminar classes at Noble Desktop in New York. You should check them too, they have everything on Photoshop, Final Cut, Dreamweaver and other creative classes! Here is a quick look on graphic design today: It is easy to come up with the concept on how you want your web site or…

I am unisex

Who are you targeting? Are you targeting men or only women? It is a question every company should ask before developing a new product. When the deodorants first came out, it was made only for women. Later brands saw an opportunity and decided to create a new category for men. Same goes for shampoos, shaving…

The Battle For Votes

I am late with this post, it was sitting in my folder, now it is time to share it! The elections for president have never been such a mess. Who is going to win Obama or Romney? Would you vote for the secure or the risk? Here is how the Romney-Obama campaign looks: Both presidents…

Promoting @ the right place

Promoting @ the right place

This is a picture from the Changi airport lobby in Singapore. Free charging for your phone in case you need to make an important call and you notice your battery is dying (which for some reason happens all the time). It looks like a small station with 15 lockers for different devices (Iphone, Ipod, Ipad, Nokia, Blackberry, Samsung, Sony Ericsson, HTC, Motorola, and even digital cameras). All you need to do is place your phone inside and connect it with the charger – it is FREE! You can go get something to eat or take a nap while your phone is charging, without getting worried of loosing it. Once it is time for your flight, use the key to open the box and return it to the person in charge of the station. I wish this idea was available in all airports. It is great way to promote the airport and I am sure Apple and all the brands involved in this promotion get good feedback too. In few words this post is about how important it is to promote your brand in the right place. Maybe this charging station wouldn’t have been so effective if it was in a mall or super market because everyone is there for the shopping experience and the chance to stop and charge your device is lower than in the airport. When you have 5 hour flight delay and your only entertainment is your phone, it better be charged.

Can you compete with it?

Can you compete with it?

Bento invented a masterpiece concept! A combination of laptop, mobile phone, ipad, ipod, solar powered battery and external hard drive. I think it is genius! I would switch from my MacBook right away. If you collect all the creative people who works at Apple, they won’t even be close to brainstorm this. I don’t even see why everyone is so crazy about Apple. Their design is simple and clean but they are too far from being creative. Looks like we all missing something huge out there – made by unknown. If you see on the picture, everything is touch screen and the parts are removable. Very convenient! Read books, create music, watch movies, design. Extra credit for the color combination between red and black! Lovely

Run for your life tree

I wonder what’s up with this green marketing?! All of the sudden everyone became environmentally conscious as if it’s a trend; well yes it is a trend. Just like yoga! Everyone today practices yoga, but it’s nothing new, yoga existed hundreds of years ago when nobody cared about it! Same goes for the poor trees…

Pop Culture Has Never Been So Influenced By Japan

Pop also known as popular is really becoming POPULAR with the new conceptual watch designs by Japanese brands based in US. Companies such as Nooka, Nixon, Lexon, and Diesel are some of the well-known watch designers, but they are few new ones who have been taking over the Internet and social media. Celebrities have been…

Are you sending the right msg?

This is a short notice about companies who say they are YES but they are actually NO. What I mean by YES and NO is the image they try to push into our minds. Lets look at real examples. One of the most famous and admired brands in Apple. They say: we are eco-friendly, that…

Business card a.k.a ID card

Business card a.k.a ID card

Some people never had business card and will never have. But if you are reading this you are not one of them. Even if you are, act as if you are not!
If you are printing business cards, don’t put too much information like address and 100 e-mails, fax numbers etc. Keep it simple “KISS”! Most important have your logo or some image to get the attention. One friend designed plastic business cards with eye catching colors. The result was the person who got his business card never had the courage to throw it because it looked so good and they knew he spend extra money on the design. That type of business cards don’t need description. All you need is name, phone # and website. They won’t forget who gave them the card for sure! Feel free to share some samples with me.
